> Connect Pushary to Lovable as a personal MCP connector, so the Lovable agent pings your phone when a build finishes or it needs your input.

[Lovable](https://lovable.dev) supports custom MCP servers as personal connectors on its paid plans. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI apps call outside tools. Add Pushary as a connector, and the Lovable agent can send you a push notification when a build finishes and ask you questions you answer from your lock screen.

This is the server URL you paste into Lovable:

```text
https://pushary.com/api/mcp/mcp
```

The Lovable agent decides when to ask. Pushary cannot hold a change in Lovable until you approve it. For enforced approvals (an action blocked until you say yes), use an agent with hooks. [Supported agents](/docs/agents/supported-agents) shows which ones Pushary can enforce.

## Connect Pushary in Lovable [#connect-pushary-in-lovable]

<Steps>
  <Step>
    ### Get an API key [#get-an-api-key]

    Create one in [Settings > API keys](https://pushary.com/dashboard/agent/settings). Pushary shows it once, so copy it right away. See [Get your API key](/docs/agents/api-key).
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Open personal connectors [#open-personal-connectors]

    In Lovable, go to **Settings > Connectors > Personal connectors** and click **New MCP server**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Name the server and paste the URL [#name-the-server-and-paste-the-url]

    Set **Server name** to `Pushary`. Set **Server URL** to `https://pushary.com/api/mcp/mcp`.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Add your key [#add-your-key]

    Under **Authentication**, select **Bearer token** and paste your API key (`pk_xxx.xxx`). Click **Add server**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Send a test notification [#send-a-test-notification]

    In a Lovable chat, ask: "Use Pushary to send me a test notification." Your phone shows it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Make Lovable notify you on its own [#make-lovable-notify-you-on-its-own]

The connector gives Lovable the tools. To get Lovable to use them without being asked, give it the Pushary instructions. Agents on your own computer install these with `npx skills add Pushary/pushary-skill`. Lovable is a hosted builder, so you paste the same guidance into Lovable's **Knowledge** (**Settings > Knowledge**) instead:

```text
# Pushary notifications
You have a Pushary MCP connector with tools: send_notification, ask_user,
wait_for_answer, cancel_question. Use them proactively, do not wait to be asked.
- When you finish a task that took several steps, call send_notification with a
  short title and a one-line summary. Pass agentName "Lovable - {project}".
- Before a destructive or irreversible change (deleting data or files, dropping or
  altering a table, deploying), call ask_user with type "confirm" and wait for the
  answer. If the answer is no, do not proceed.
- If no answer comes back, follow handoffAction when present, otherwise nextAction:
  keep waiting with the same correlationId while pending. Only for an explicit handoff, call cancel_question
  and ask me in the chat. If cancellation returns handoffAction "stop", stop. If
  cancellation returns false, poll once for 1 second and honor the answer that won
  the race. Silence is never a yes.
- When a choice has 2 to 6 known options, use ask_user with type "select".
- Ask questions with ask_user, never inside a notification; if I am in the chat,
  ask there. For a choice you would make anyway that is reversible and inside the
  task, do not ask: make it and list it in your summary.
- When the work is done, report it and stop. Do not ask what to do next.
- Keep titles under 60 characters and bodies under 180. Max 3 notifications per task.
```

Lovable now notifies you when it finishes and checks in before risky steps, without a reminder in each prompt.

## Prompts to try [#prompts-to-try]

You can also ask for it in any prompt.

**Notify when a build finishes:**

```text
After you finish implementing this feature, send me a Pushary notification with
title "Lovable build done" and a one-line summary of what changed.
```

**Ask before a risky change:**

```text
Before you delete or rename any database table, use Pushary ask_user to confirm
with me, and wait for my answer before continuing.
```

A question blocks for up to about 55 seconds per call. If you need longer, the agent can check again with `wait_for_answer` and the same question id. A question stays open until you answer it or the agent cancels it.

## Tools Lovable gets [#tools-lovable-gets]

The main tools are `send_notification`, `ask_user`, `wait_for_answer`, `cancel_question` and `list_sessions`. The full list depends on your key. See the [tools reference](/docs/agents/reference/tools).
