Claude Code approvals: answer from your terminal or phone
Pushary CLI 1.9.66 keeps supported Claude Code approvals open in your terminal and on your phone. Answer either one. The first answer wins.

You are back at your desk. Claude Code is waiting for an answer. You should be able to answer there.
Pushary CLI 1.9.66 keeps supported Claude Code approvals open in the terminal and on your phone at the same time. Answer either one. The first answer wins, and a terminal answer closes the phone question.
Answer without waiting for the terminal prompt
Previously, Pushary could hold the tool call while the terminal showed a spinner. When that window ended, the phone question closed and Claude Code showed its own prompt.
Now the terminal prompt opens straight away for supported calls. After setup or upgrade refreshes the hook registration, the phone question can stay open for up to 10 minutes. An older registration keeps its previous phone window, with the terminal answerable from the start.
You can leave your desk and answer on your phone. If you return before answering, use the terminal.
Which Claude Code sessions support this?
This applies to CLI-managed, interactive Claude Code sessions in default or acceptEdits mode when only Pushary's built-in defaults ask about the call. Calls already permitted by your rules still follow the setup guide's permission rules.
Rules you wrote, presets you selected, temporary modes and Team approval routes keep their configured behavior. Bypass and headless sessions, including claude -p, keep the existing phone wait because there is no terminal prompt to answer. Pushary for Mac is unchanged in this release.
For the supported default path, an unanswered call stays pending. If the phone cannot be reached, answer in the terminal. A phone-only rule with an explicit timeout action still follows that rule.
Update your connection
npx pushary@latest upgrade
pushary doctorRestart Claude Code after upgrading so it reads the refreshed hooks. The command installs the current published CLI; this article covers the behavior introduced in 1.9.66.
Read the Claude Code setup guide to check your connection and approval mode. The full CLI release notes cover each version. If you are building an approval hook, the hooks guide explains how PreToolUse and PermissionRequest work together.
